I thought I would share this with some friends

Having taken maybe my last  morning service at a church in Derby, I mentioned my belief that God has spoken and is speaking through many denominations andother faiths epecially emphasising the Golden Rule. I wasn't sure how some would take this in a non conformist church.
A very elderly couple came to tell me that in a recent taxi ride the young Muslim driver preached to them for the whole journey; they were impressed by his wordsand sincerity. At the end they told him they are Christians on which he said that
God didn't look down on people as Christians or Muslims or any other religion,He loves them all.
I reckon their sharing that information with me really made my own sermon and service more meaningful than I had expected. As I say it may have been my last,

And how challenging  this is to the many awful islamaphobia comments appearing on the internet!

Blessings of Ramadan to some of my friends in this list and a Very Happy Eidh,

Woolwich - Nick Baines's blog - Musings of a restless bishop

A soldier is attacked in Woolwich and brutally murdered. The men who did it seem determined to be caught. Seeing the footage, they look familiar – speaking with the same deluded dysfunctionality that is not uncommon in some inner-urban areas.…See More
