If you are in the Birmingham area, this is an event not to be missed - there will be speakers from the different faith traditions, speaking on how their faith motivates them to help others, as well as a fair of local and national faith-based social action organisations presenting their work. There will also be free refreshments and entertainment. For more information, and contact details of the organisers, have a look at http://www.oneworldweek.org/v2/calendar/15/401-OWW-Inter-Faith-and-....
Comment by Syd Bill on August 22, 2012 at 15:31 Thank you very much Katharina; it is good to share this info with others.
However please note the date of the event God Willing /Inshalla is 13th October
Comment by Katharina Smith-Muller on August 22, 2012 at 15:49 Oops! Sorry Syd, noted and corrected.
Comment by Syd Bill on August 24, 2012 at 15:36 Now I have made a typo in your name and don't know how to edit - very sorry
Comment by Katharina Smith-Muller on August 24, 2012 at 16:21 Not to worry - looks fine to me unless I am missing something. And even if you have made a mistake, I should accept at least part of the responsibility - my name is a bit of a minefield for English speakers (and now for German speakers, too, so that I don't really expect anybody to spell my name right anymore:)
Comment by Syd Bill on August 25, 2012 at 10:52 It looks like the error (an s instead of an a) has self corrected. My prob is not the spelling but how to get two dots over the "u" as in the IFN UK report
Comment by Katharina Smith-Muller on August 29, 2012 at 17:00 Ah, now that is a tricky one - I often don't bother myself. But in word, you can access the umlaut via "symbols"...I am not fussed though personally!
Comment by Syd Bill on August 29, 2012 at 19:00 Silly me about the "s" instead of "a" when your name has three "a"s. I meant the final "a" was mistyped/
However, I had assumed the two dots meant a difference in pronouncing the name. And I would like to get it
right when I tell folks how you have been encouraging and trying to help. Am still hoping to get a Catholic input and example of social action even though our programme has been shortened.
