"Just popped back to say that last night I read the Episode in Karen Armstrong's "The Case for God" where she has written one of the best pieces I have read to date on the meaning of dialogue. It certainly is not a case of point scoring"

Cardinal Tauran

I met Cardinal Tauran after the Mass at Westminster Cathedral at which I was serving. He is attending the European Bishops conference on relations with Muslims. Also met Fr Joseph Ellul from Malta and Archbishop Kevin MacDonald. I am keen to carry on dialogue - I have attended Christian/Muslim forum and Sayed Ali Razawi came to our home. I recorded the conversation as part of my Heythrop course. I am working on 2 essays - being a Buddhist Christian and Dialogue in the mission of the Church.See More

Meister Eckhart

My dissertation is to be on the idea in Meister Eckhart of the birth of Christ in the soul and finding this in other traditions. We talk a lot about "Seeds of the Word" but finding them is much harder. Eckhart is definitely someone who speaks to our generation. Any comments?See More

"The key here is St Paul. If we are in Christ we are a new creation. And yes there is an eschatalogical dimension to salvation - Jesus died for all mankind and we are all on a journey to heaven. God bless John"

Hi John, it just shows how little I look at CT Connect. However, I will do more this year. Please look for my web videos which can be seen at the bottom of CT Connect home page and via the videos link. Do publicise them in your networks. I will send something round too.

Best wishes and thanks.

Celia

News - Woolwich

Recent events have, in a terrible way, shown the need for people of faith to come together to pray for peace. You can find an article, and a statement by Archbishop Kevin McDonald, here: http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2013/05/24/my-catholic-faith-inspired-me-to-confront-woolwich-attacker/.See More

Woolwich - Nick Baines's blog - Musings of a restless bishop

A soldier is attacked in Woolwich and brutally murdered. The men who did it seem determined to be caught. Seeing the footage, they look familiar – speaking with the same deluded dysfunctionality that is not uncommon in some inner-urban areas.…See More
