Permalink Reply by John Bradley on February 15, 2012 at 15:32 I was there, Peter, and I thought it was a grand do. I'm glad I kept my coat on because it felt like a gathering of God's frozen people! I thought ABC Rowan's sermon was excellent and the service was very well put together. The choir were outstanding as usual, though I was disappointed by the Anglicized varnish put over Thuma Mina.
Some will ask what difference it will make. I suppose it's like the Anglican-Methodist Covenant: it's all down to what people make of it locally. It's permissive, not prescriptive.
So a formal repeal of the Acts of Uniformity, or their replacement by an Act of Diversity, would have been nice, as would a ceremonial burning of the order of Ejectment but this was a good alternative.
